Getting started
From sign-up to the first QR on a table.
What do I actually get with MenuYou?
Two things: a digital menu your guests open by scanning a QR code, and a panel you run the place from — categories and items, at-table orders, POS, customers and reports. Anything more specialised, you switch on as a separate plugin.
How long does setup take?
You create a free account, add your categories and items, pick a template and print the QR. Half an hour is enough for a normal menu — a few minutes if you already have a spreadsheet.
Do I need technical skills or a designer?
No. You never write code and never install anything. The templates are ready to go, and you set colours, fonts and layout with a live preview.
How do I move my current menu over?
Import an Excel file from the panel and review the preview before anything is saved, so mistakes never make it in. If all you have is a photo or a printed menu, we enter it for you during onboarding.
Do you need a card to start?
No. The Starter plan is free forever, and you can build and publish a full QR menu without entering any payment details. There is no trial to run out.
What kinds of businesses is this for?
Cafés, restaurants, fast food, coffee shops, bakeries, teahouses, bars and hotel restaurants — anywhere with a menu, whether guests sit down or take away.
Orders, POS and delivery
From the moment a guest taps “order”.
Do guests need an app or an account to order?
Neither. The menu is a web page and the order is placed on that same page. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Where does an at-table order show up?
Immediately on the kitchen display, the waiter panel and the till. The kitchen display counts prep time and flags an order that is taking too long.
Is there a POS?
Yes, inside the in-house sales plugin. Your cashier rings up orders from the same panel, closes an invoice with service charge and tax, and settles it — and sales and best-seller reports come from there too.
Can guests pay online?
In the current version the order is placed and managed in the panel, and payment happens at the table or at the till. An online payment gateway is not yet part of the guest order flow.
How do I handle takeaway and couriers?
With the delivery plugin. Couriers get their own mobile panel, guests track the order through a public link, and you set fees as flat, by zone or by distance. Handover is confirmed with a code or a photo.
Can several people at one table order separately?
Yes, with the free group order plugin. Everyone joins one shared basket by scanning the same table QR, and at the end the bill splits evenly or item by item.
How do discounts and happy hour work?
Through the discounts plugin. Set a percentage, a fixed amount or a “buy 2 get 1” on the whole order, one category or a few items; schedule it by date range, weekday or hour; and choose who it applies to — everyone, club members, birthdays or first orders.
Which plan includes at-table ordering?
Online ordering itself starts on the Pro plan. The POS, kitchen display and waiter panel come with the in-house sales plugin on top of it.
Plans and billing
What is free and what is not.
Is MenuYou really free?
The Starter plan is free forever: QR menu, unlimited categories and items, and two templates. We do not ask for a card to start, and there is no trial period that ends.
What separates the four plans?
Starter gives you the menu and the QR. Plus adds product photos, feature badges, visit stats and removes the MenuYou logo. Pro adds at-table ordering, video and full details, and sales reports. ProMax adds a custom domain, multiple admin users and dedicated support.
What do the plans cost?
Starter is free, Plus is 190,000 toman, Pro is 390,000 toman and ProMax is 690,000 toman per month.
How much does annual billing save?
Paying yearly gives you two months free — a year costs the same as ten months.
Can I upgrade mid-cycle?
Yes. Pick the higher plan in the panel and the new features switch on right away. There is no contract and no need to wait for the period to end.
If I cancel, do I lose my menu?
No. Cancelling drops the account back to the free plan; your menu, categories, items and order history all stay where they are. Only the paid features switch off.
Are there hidden fees or a cut of sales?
No. What you see on the pricing page is what it costs — we take no percentage of your sales and charge no setup fee.
Plugins
Capabilities you switch on independently of your plan.
How is a plugin different from a plan?
Your plan sets how far the menu itself goes; a plugin adds a whole new section to your panel and menu — reservations, a loyalty club, inventory. The two are independent and work together.
Do plugins work on the free plan?
Yes, every plugin works on every plan, free Starter included. Only a few specific features inside them — AI translation, for one — depend on your plan.
Which plugins exist today?
In-house sales, delivery, group order, discounts, table reservation, loyalty club, spin wheel, reviews, surveys, favourites, multi-branch, staff management, inventory, expenses, multilingual menu, dark mode, menu music and blog. An AI agent is coming soon.
Which plugins are free?
Group order, surveys and favourites are free and switch on automatically when you sign up.
Do I rent plugins or buy them once?
Either. Monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Table reservation is 150,000 and the loyalty club 120,000 toman a month, for example, and the spin wheel is 1.2 million toman for life.
If I switch a plugin off, is its data gone?
No. Switching a plugin off only closes access to that section; the data stays and comes back exactly as it was when you switch it on again.
Does it work for several branches?
Yes, with the multi-branch plugin. Each branch gets its own address, opening hours, QR and — if you want — its own menu, and you move between branches with a single switch while reports for all of them collect in one panel.
Team, data and support
Once everything is up and running.
How do I add my staff to the panel?
With the staff management plugin. You bring people in through an invite link and give each of them a role and a branch; a waiter never sees financial reports and a cashier never touches inventory. Shifts, attendance and payslips live there too.
Do waiters and couriers get their own panels?
Yes. Both have their own lightweight mobile panel showing only their own work — neither needs to enter the main admin panel.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Any list in the panel — menu, customers, orders, reports — exports to Excel, and you choose which columns come along.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on the ProMax plan. The menu opens on your own address, like menu.cafe-roma.ir, instead of a MenuYou subdomain.
Can the MenuYou logo be removed from my menu?
Yes, from the Plus plan onward the MenuYou signature comes off the bottom of the guest menu.
Can I see how many people opened the menu?
Yes. Menu visit stats start on the Plus plan and show when and how often the menu was opened. Sales and best-seller reports come with Pro.
How does support work?
You open a ticket from inside the panel and get the answer in the same place, so the thread never gets lost. The ProMax plan comes with dedicated support.
Nothing matches that
Try a simpler word — “QR”, “discount” or “branch”. Or just ask us the question directly.
